Talk about a teen phenom! K2 Productions recently worked with AOL to film part of its “You’ve Got…” series in Raleigh. AOL was looking to feature then 16-year-old Soccer Freestyler Indie Cowie. With a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records, freestyle competition wins in Rome, and Sony Playstation commercials in Prague, Czech Republic, Indie has certainly taken the lead in her sport.
Indie started practicing and performing freestyle soccer tricks at the age of twelve. She has since been featured on both Good Morning America and the Ellen Degeneres Show, and performed at the World Cup, during Mia Hamm’s Celebrity Soccer Challenge in 2011, and for her largest crowd of 76,000 people during halftime of a 2010 Manchester United-Chelsea match.
K2 worked directly with AOL on this project, which has been featured on AOL’s home page. We filmed tons of tricks from different angles, and just had her performing cool soccer tricks over and over again. She’s amazing — young and full of talent.
Indie looks forward to more years of competition, pushing the boundaries of freestyle, and inspiring other kids to get into soccer freestyling.
