The Steadicam is our favorite, most often used cinema tool. It allows us to create incredible free flowing camera motions that are beautiful to watch and essential for visual storytelling. The Steadicam stabilizes the camera and mechanically isolates it from the operator’s movement, which allows for a smooth shot, even when moving quickly over uneven surfaces.

K2productions offers a wide variety of Steadicam platforms from the Steadicam Pilot up to the Steadicam Archer. Looking for a an even smoother shot? We now have the new Steadicam STEADISEG available. This rare tool combines the stability of the Steadicam mixed with the rolling smoothness of a Segway.

The Steadicam was invented by DP Garrett Brown in 1975 and it revolutionized filmmaking. Garrett has won an Oscar & Emmy for Technical Achievement and he has captured some of the most memorable movie scenes from Rocky, Star Wars, Indian Jones, Casino and many more classics. Garrett is also a friend to K2 and we are extremely lucky to be associated with an industry legend.

Sony’s F55 is the chameleon camera. It supports cinematography—and live television broadcasting. It shoots onboard 4K—and also 2K/HD. It has a Super 35mm sensor—and also offers Center Scan mode to shoot with 16mm PL lenses or with 2/3-inch lenses via B4 adaptor. The F55 can change personality depending on the needs of the project, the day or the individual shot. It’s uniquely engineered to provide pristine footage now—and far into the future.

Whether we’re filming for the cinema or for television, ALEXA provides stunning, crisp pictures that make our clients’ stories come to life. The ALEXA boasts natural color reproduction—especially great for skin tones—as well as precise color separation. Sharp HD, 2K, and 4K images produce organic film quality.


Red Epic M

The RED EPIC M digital camera features a 5K sensor which captures up to 120 frames per second at full resolution. Amazing! EPIC adapts easily in challenging light conditions, reaching up to 18 stops of dynamic range with HDRx. 5K images provide streamlined footage for IMAX applications and the most resolution for both stills and motion.


Canon EOS C300

The Canon EOS C300 takes what professionals love about DSLR filmmaking – access to a vast selection of widely available lenses, a large sensor that facilitates a shallow depth of field, and portable operation with a modular, compact camera – and addresses its shortcomings. That means that unlike DSLR cameras, this Cinema EOS camcorder is designed inside and out for professional cinematographers capturing motion pictures that will stand up to rigorous post-production processes.


Canon 5D Mark III

The Canon EOS 5D Mark III offers a supercharged performance with stunning full frame, high-resolution HD footage at cost effective rates. K2 has an arsenal of 5D’s that we use regularly. Most clients love the the DSLR’s look and they offer many advantages including incredible images, durability, small size, lens options, low rates and if you need to take great looking still photos, you can! It’s the Swiss Army Knife of cameras.


Fisher 10 Dolly

This smooth, quiet hydraulic lift beam camera dolly is supreme for television, video, and cinematic productions. The FISHER DOLLY has mechanically compensated steering and a tight turning radius with a 500-pound lift capacity and a 1,200-pound load capacity. The manual hydraulic hand pump makes it possible to film in remote locations without the availability of electrical power.

Our Jibs and Cranes allow us to capture sweeping cinematic views for the money shot you need in your production.

They are useful for getting high shots, or shots which need to move a great distance horizontally or vertically, without the expense and safety issues of putting a camera operator on a crane for a crane shot or laying track for a camera dolly. We can even mount them to our dolly for shots in which the camera moves over obstacles when a normal dolly shot would be impossible. Audio Packages

K2 works with the best Audio Techs and Gear to provide pristine sound for all of our productions. Our audio packages include Mixer, Recorder, Switcher, Boom, shotgun mic, lavalier wireless microphones and portable digital audio recorders. During Pre Production we work with our clients and audio techs to determine the best audio package for your production.



The GoPro HERO3: Black Edition Camera is smaller and lighter than its predecessor. It’s also Wi-Fi enabled. The HERO3 is designed for recording action sports, and it comes with a rugged housing that is waterproof down to a depth of 197 feet (60 m). We’ve used these bad boys for all kinds of shoots such as skydiving, surfing, mountain biking, and even airplane stunts!
